AGRU electrofusion welding machines with Short Circuit Protection (SCP) system

Detects incorrect welding preparation and stops the welding process immediately.

Inadequate welding preparation can lead to excessive movement of the heating coil during welding. This can lead to problems such as undetected short circuits, overheating, material leakage or ignition of the plastic.

Electrofusion welding

Electrofusion welding has been a reliable method of joining polyethylene or polypropylene pipes and fittings used in gas, water, sewage and industrial applications for decades.

Proper, secure and durable welding connections require the following essential components:

  • High quality pipes and fittings
  • Experienced and certified welders
  • Superior welding equipment

Short Circuit Protection (SCP) System

Newly available AGRU electrofusion universal machines with built-in SCP (Short Circuit Protection) system, detect short circuit based on variations in fittings heating wire resistance. These resistance changes are detected and evaluated by the SCP system and the welding process is aborted if necessary!

Rely on our expertise and benefit from the complete traceability and documentation of every weld. The SCP system works for all AGRU electrofusion fittings from OD 20 to OD 500 and is integrated into all new AGRU electrofusion welding machines.

More about the SCP System

Full documentation and traceability: AGRU WeldNET

All new AGRU electrofusion welding machines are equipped with comprehensive documentation and SCP system. The entire weld history can be seamlessly integrated into the AGRU WeldNET data management system. This comprehensive system documents, evaluates and identifies all welds, including those affected by short circuits. The AGRU WeldNET system is at the heart of your entire welding operation. Welding reports can be easily retrieved from the machine via a USB stick and analyzed using the AGRU WeldNET system, as well as printed directly from the machine.
